Atascadero Lake Park is a great place for family gatherings and birthday parties. Children will be entertained for hours with the paddle boats, kiddie pool, walking and bike path around the lake, two play sturctures, fishing and more. 
The Charles Paddock Zoo was established in 1955. Over the years, the Charles Paddock Zoo has grown and improved into a fully accredited zoo, exhibiting over 100 animals on 5 park-like acres within beautiful Atascadero Lake Park.
Special events, birthday parties, and area field trips are just a few of the exciting activities available, not to mention, the annual Zoo Boo, Atascadero Wine Festival and our Christmas time "Sing to the Animals". This is a wonderful place to visit!
Morro Bay and Cayucos area fantastic places for kids.The Morro Bay Museum of Natural History is an interactive museum for kids to learn and discover the Estuary, and plants, animals and birds native to the area. Kids can discover Morro Rock and beach and Tidelands Park, an awesome park for kids to play! Cayucos Pier and Beach is alway hopping with surfing, fishing and kids play. Parents will love the area shops and antique malls all within walking distance. Kids have lots of room to run and explore at Del Mar Park in Morro Bay. This is a great spot for family gatherings and birthday parties. The Cloisters Park is equally entertaining and has beach access.
